Happy Holidays from your CVHRMA Board of Directors!

As we approach the final days of the year, and then into Christmas and 2017 I reflect on all the great things our chapter has done. Most of you know that I will be terming out this December and Dawn Tacker will be ready to ring in the New Year with all of you.

This has been my most memorable year with SHRM ever, as we not only grew our chapter by 20% but also, won the most prestigious award across the country, The Pinnacle Award!

I am fully confident and excited to say you have a dynamite 2017 Board of Directors. We will continue to do great things, and provide relevant, thought provoking programming as always. Board positions are not paid, but are 100% volunteer. It takes time to make all the wonderful things happen for our chapter – time away from work, family and friends. But we all believe that the difference we make is worth it. So if you have the same desire to progress this place we call home then reach out and become a volunteer. Not that I have to say it, because it is much better to give than it is to receive.

So my final words to all of you. Thank you for accepting me as your President, and allowing me to share my heart with you. I have been so blessed to be connected to this region having moved from out of the area. I will continue to be involved and hope to see you all around next year. I had my first baby, changed jobs, and bought my first house while serving on this board. So many milestones have been hit these past 3.5 years and despite all the craze you all welcomed me and shared in my vision for CVHRMA. And I am pleased to say we did it.

There are only more great things to come, and I look forward to being a part of the membership for years to come.
